3D Fashion Designer Alexis Monsanto

,
With the addition of a new 3D Music Festival Program, the 2011 3D Film Festival (3DFF) is noticeably growing in size and scope. Attendees might also notice a more distinct international flavor to this year’s festival schedule. Internationals highlights of this year’s festival include a celebrity designer’s fashion show, the addition of a new South Korean & Chinese 3D Content Pavilion, and the world premiere screening of China’s NOTHING TO MY NAME.

The 2011 3D Film Festival kicked off on Thursday evening, September 22 with a screening of DOLPHIN TALE 3D followed by an Opening Night Gala that featured a one of a kind 3D fashion show from international celebrity designer Alexis Monsanto. Monsanto, who was born in the Philippines, debuted his Spring/Summer 2012 collection to an enthusiastic crowd at Avalon in Hollywood. Among those happy to get a first look at Monsanto’s new designs was actress Emily VanCamp who attended the show accompanied by several cast mates from her new ABC drama “Revenge.” “The show was amazing,“remarked actress Ashley Palmer. “It was very theatrical: lots of fantastical, outrageous outfits mixed in with very elegant daywear and dresses.” Palmer, who was recently featured on NBC’s “Love Bites,” added,“There was one blue dress at the end that I would kill to wear out on the red carpet.”

Another highlight of this year’s festival will occur on Saturday, September 24, from 6pm to 7pm at the Los Angeles Film School when the festival debuts the South Korean & Chinese 3D Content Pavilion. The Pavilion will feature exclusive 3D films, documentaries, shorts, and music videos from both China and South Korea. As The Dream Factory and 3DFF have become increasingly active in the Korean, Chinese, and American Film Markets over the past three years, Festival Director Christopher Crescitelli has traveled abroad many times to create unique opportunities for all three countries to collaborate and help aid in the growth of the 3D industry world wide.

HTC Runnymede Retail Branding Revealed?

The HTC Runnymede will launch as the HTC Sensation XL, according to a reliable source, and not the HTC Bass, as previously rumored. It will allegedly come in two Beats Audio-themed bundles: one with iBeats earbuds and another, special, edition containing over-the-ear Beats Solo headphones.

The supposed branding here is somewhat interesting because, unlike the Sensation XE, Runnymede's specs differ significantly from the original Sensation's: its rumored single-core, 1.5GHz processor and 4.7-inch screen make it sound more akin to the HTC Titan Windows Phone than the dual-core, 4.3-inch Sensation and Sensation XE.

We'd expect Sensation XL/Runnymede to launch at HTC's October 7th event, alongside Explorer/Pico and perhaps even Vigor and Ruby.

How To Ensure Your Broadband Internet Connection Is Not Always Slow

Have you ever wondered why your broadband internet connection is always slow? Are you used to thinking that your slow internet connection problem has something to do with your ISP or do you think you might be doing something right on your path?

The funny thing about broadband internet usage today is that many people are getting way too low broadband speeds than is certified today and they just can’t figure out what might be wrong. I have also experienced a similar situation and this article will be giving you a few tips to help you ensure you always get faster broadband internet access.

Check the inner virus
As internet technology becomes more sophisticated there have been more reports of virus infection over the years. The problem however is that these viruses are not just simple viruses but stubborn viruses that can destroy your computer at the blink of an eye – and funny still, they first have a duty to download all the files on your computer and send it to the fellow who programmed them which ends up resulting in your computer and internet connection becoming frustratingly slow.

It is very important for you to make it a duty not only to install the best antivirus you can lay your hands on but to always do your best to update it every day. You should also make it a habit to be scanning your computer regularly as this way you will be able to notice ahead of time if your computer is likely going to be infected by a virus.

Remove the clutters
All those desktop icons that you haven’t clicked for two months now. Those software applications you never opened since they have been installed and all those folders you keep on creating. They are all clutters that need to be checked and you should never for a moment allow them to take over your computer.

How to find out who unfriended you on Facebook

We've shown you how to try Facebook's new profile page — also known as the "Timeline" — right now, but did you know that it's more than just a pretty design? It can be used to find out exactly which of your friends quietly unfriended you at some point. This clever trick was discovered by the folks at Buzzfeed (who we hear skipped work to spend the whole day playing around with Timelines) and it's pretty simple. All you have to do after enabling Timeline on your Facebook account is pick a random year and scroll down until you find a "Friends" box.

Once you've found one of those boxes, click on the "Made [some number] New Friends" text. You'll see a little pop-up with a list of the friends you made at that particular point in time. If you're still friends with a person, the button next to his or her name will say "Friends." But if you're not? Then the button will say "Add Friend" instead.

Webcam 101 for Seniors....

Webcams are not only hip for young people, but they also can be good for seniors even if they don’t know how to use them. That was certainly true for Bruce and Esther Huffman. The elderly couple, who live at a retirement community in McMinnville, Oregon, unknowingly recorded a video of themselves trying to figure out how to use their new laptop’s webcam. The video captured some off-color senior moments that are now the buzz of the social network stratosphere.

If you haven’t seen it yet, there’s a good chance someone on Facebook, Twitter or e-mail will be sharing it with you soon. Titled “Webcam 101 for Seniors,” the YouTube video has been viewed more than 5.5 million times within the last few days.

And it’s no wonder.

In a world with no shortage of bad news every day, this story is different. During the video, Bruce Huffman makes “monkey faces,” sings, and sweetly tells his wife her hair looks nice and jokes that he wants to see her “boobies.” Esther Huffman tries to be more serious and figure out why the camera wouldn’t take a picture. “I’m so sad, Esther, I’m so sad,” laments Bruce Huffman while poking at his face. “Look at all the wrinkles up there, cracks in my head.” His wife responds with a lovely giggle that surfaces many times in the nearly three-minute recording. When ABC News reported the sensation on Wednesday, the video had only been viewed 100,000 times. That figure has ballooned since then.

“Why won’t it take a picture?” wonders Esther Huffman during the video. “I don’t know, dear,” replies Bruce Huffman, who belches loudly, then says, “Pardon me.”

Why has the video of the chipper couple gone viral, even though they don’t really do anything in it? You just have watch it for yourself. If it doesn’t put a smile on your face, nothing will.

Happiness, it appears, is contagious.

“When I was 8 years old, my uncle paid me five cents if I’d make a monkey face and I’ve been working on it all these years,” Bruce Huffman told ABC affiliate KATU. “I never knew it’d make me famous. He’s up in heaven and he’d be amazed at what’s going on right here, right now.”
